A LETTER FROM KENYA

Praise the Lord Pastor; we are fine and well kept of  Lord. Christ has been so good to us to this far, we as a family are so thankful for what God has done to us the whole year 2009; He gave his only son for our sake, without sin for us who are sinners. It’s our hope that you are doing fine with your family, we thank God for the quick healing He is giving Mama Njeri.

We have seen the faithfulness of God in all ways, He has granted us a chance to serve in His kingdom and the right to become hears with Jesus.

We have been facing some challenges in the ministry but in all God has seen us through. We have a brother who is of much help in the ministry; he was divorced by his wife, she went away with every thing that belonged to both of them and left the brother without hope, I thank God because by now the brother has fully recovering and filled with hope in Jesus.

We do support him by paying his house rent, which some times has not been easy to us due to many commitments and the ministry is still young.

We do thank God for you Pastor Geoffrey and your family for supporting us; you have made the work of God easier for us. The support (money and prayers) you give has been of great value and help to us. We thank God, the microphones you sent to us back July have already arrived and the pictures, the pictures are wonderful, the family is admirable. We are also trusting God that the amplifier will also arrive in time.

In our time of service we have passed through difficult times of bearing the burdens of some of our new church members, they would call and ask for financial support (lack of food) and we see some cases to be genuine and we assist as God enables us.

There is a testimony of Mama whom we are praying for, we also ask that you may remember her (she was cheated by the man whom she lives with as her husband, he took her from her parents claiming that he is going to assist her in buying materials for dress making in the City where they are cheap. Since the girl and her parents never new the City well and the man was from there village, they accepted the offer, the man and the girl went and never reached the town till night, the said husband took her to a room in another town where we are in now (Kitengela) but not the City he was supposed to take her. He forcefully slept with her, locked her in the same house and threatened to kill her if she tried to run away and since she never new the place or anybody, she had to comply. She got pregnant and since that time they are together but she is always in tears, she was sharing this life experience with my wife while crying. The man is said to be a long time prisoner in Kamiti maximum prison here in our country, with robbery cases that is why the lady and her parents in fear of running away or report the man. They are now about eight years together) Please Pastor pray with us we claim the man’s life for Jesus.

God bless you Pastor, we have much to share and pray for as God gives us time. MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR from Pastor Njoroge's Family and the Living Faith Tabernacle Church in Kenya, we do Love and pray for you.

Yours in Christ Vine – yard.

A WORD FROM LIVING FAITH TABERNACLE KENYA

John 4:35 says, "Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white fore harvest!" This is the verse that the Lord brought to my mind as we reach Kenya for Christ.

Living Faith Tabernacle, is now reaching the city of NairobiNairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. It was founded in 1899 as a simple rail depot on the railway linking Mombasa to Uganda, the town quickly grew to become the capital of British East African in 1907 and eventually the capital of free Kenyan Republic 1963.  According to the 1999 census, population estimated was between 3 and 4 million. Praise the Lord! Living Faith is reaching this great city.

There are three things that the Lord has put in my heart to do in Kenya.

First, I will share the Gospel by doing the personal Evangelism.

                Why Do Personal Evangelism?

To evangelize means to proclaim the good news of the gospel of Christ.  Jesus in giving the Great commission to the eleven apostles says in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you."  Imagine that Jesus saying these words to eleven of us today and we were one of the eleven.  What would be our reaction?  Impossible? Absurd? Or Lord don't you  see there are only eleven of us? Or would we think,  "yes Jesus really means me also."  We are also under this obligation to teach others.  Jesus had just commanded the eleven to go teach and to teach those who were converted to observe all things he had command them which included that we are also to be taught to go and teach.

Second,  I plan  to teach the Bible studies to, ladies, youth and men.

The Lord doesn't want anyone to be lost.  We read in 2Peter 3:9, "The Lord...is  long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." We also read in 1Timothy 2:4, "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to a knowledge of the truth." Because of what the Lord has done for us, we have the obligation to teach others so they can come to a knowledge of the truth and be saved.

The third thing the Lord has laid on my heart to do in Kenya, is to reach out to the needy, by helping with cloth and maize.

The people of Kenya, where over 50% of the population already lives in poverty and where life expectancy is only 47 years, are now facing a potential famine due to drought.  The government of Kenya estimates that upwards of 3.5 million are risk from the worsening food crisis. Living Faith Tabernacle in Nairobi has a vision to reach  out to those facing  famine.

What can I do to Help?

Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." The number one thing anyone can do for me and my ministry is to pray. Some of the things you can remember in your prayers include: Prayer that the people of Kenya have open and receptive hearts to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, prayer for my faithfulness to the ministry which the Lord has called me to, prayer that I will minister effectively, prayer for Living Faith Tabernacle to reach other parts of Africa, and prayer for my family health and safety, Keziah, Naomi and my wife Grace.

If you wish to contribute to my ministry financially, you may do so through the Living Faith Tabernacle 5880 Old Dixie Hwy, Forest Park, GA 30297.

God bless you.

Faith

Faith is reliance, loyalty, or complete trust in God or someone else. Do you remember how you felt when you were very young and your birthday approached? You were excited and anxious. You knew you would certainly receive gifts and other special treats. But some things would be a surprise. Birthdays combine assurance and anticipation, and so does faith. Faith is the confidence based on past experience that God‘s new and fresh surprises will surely be ours.

On December 1st 2008, Living Faith Tabernacle expanded to Kenya in East Africa. The ministry is growing and people are turning their lives to Jesus Christ our savior. For sure Faith has brought us this far. The LFT in Nairobi, Kenya meets for fellowship every Sunday morning. We are reaching youth who are experiencing big challenges in the growing of aids epidemic which is affecting many young people, and also families that were affected with 2007 post election violence. Kenyans are also going through food crisis, and LFT is helping families with food (maize).

Mark 16:18; Jesus left the disciples with these last words of instruction, they were to make more disciples, they were to baptize and teach these new disciples to obey Christ; Christ would be with them always.

WE are to go –whether it is next door or to another country and make disciples. Praise the Lord!  Living Faith is now expanding to

Kenya under the leadership and vision of our dear Pastor Chris Bowen. I do believe that, the Best is YET to come, as we keep our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we will obey his command and go to reach the world with the word of God.
